About Kolej Kediaman Kinabalu (KK8)
Kolej Kediaman Kinabalu (KK8) is the 8th Residential College at Universiti Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Named after Mount Kinabalu — the highest mountain in South East Asia — the college embodies strength, resilience, and community spirit.

History & Background
Kolej Kediaman Kinabalu was completed in 1985 and held its grand opening ceremony on 18 December 1987. Over the decades, it has grown into one of the most beloved residential colleges at Universiti Malaya, housing thousands of students and producing generations of distinguished alumni.

HUNGGAH – The KK8 Spirit
The rallying cry of KK8 is HUNGGAH — a word that encapsulates the pride, unity, and fighting spirit of every Kinabalu resident. Whether at inter-college sports events, cultural nights, or graduation ceremonies, the KK8 community stands together. We are the best, we are the great, we are the EIGHT EIGHT!

KK8 is located within the Universiti Malaya campus, near the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT).
